Triple the blessings | Northfield Newborn Photographer
As a Northfield newborn photographer I am always ready for anything and was absolutely giddy when I heard the news that a client and family friend was having not one, not two but THREE beautiful babies. I had taken their big sisters newborn photos less than two years previously. This family makes my heart warm just thinking about how sweet and kind they have been to us over the years. After Rhyan’s newborn photography session I shared Rhyan’s images with them and there was HGTV on in the background. I mentioned how much I loved Fixer Upper because there is no cursing and I can watch it with the kids. Plus actually love the show!
When Tyler picked up their newborn artwork of Rhyan he dropped off a gift for me too. It was the first time that a client had ever given me a gift and it meant so much. It was the first two seasons of Fixer Upper on DVD and a coffee mug. They had not only heard and remembered what I said about loving Fixer Upper but also that we didn’t have satellite or cable, so they wanted Eric and I to be able to watch it at home. Pretty amazing and thoughtful couple.
One of my other favorite newborn sibling portraits to take at your Northfield newborn photography session is the babies in a prop with big siblings near by. With this pose I am able to get pictures of just the baby (or babies!) and also multiple images with big sister/brother laying or sitting. The babies are posed securely and then siblings can wiggle around and we can play with them to get their snuggles/kisses and smiles. Occasionally there is a kiddo who refuses to pose next to their baby (or babies! LOL, this isn’t getting old). In this case I have a super secret weapon called composites. If you know what that means you know that I have some serious photoshop magic. Essentially as your Northfield newborn photographer my job is to get the shot, and I will!
The really pretty jute layer is from Luneberry and I greatly enjoy all my props that have joined the studio from here, I pretty much always have a wishlist going.
Since the triplets session was just before Rhyan’s 2nd birthday we definitely needed to spend a few minutes focusing on her and capturing her ever infectious sweet smile. Every single time I have taken pictures of this sweet girl (newborn session included) I have gotten the sweetest images of her fabulous smiles.
I have always thought that Dana is just amazing. She is clearly a rockstar mother but also serves in the US Army. Then her amazing husband is her supporter and covers all the things while she is out of town for service, training and if she deploys. This team is just mind-blowing and inspiring to me as a mother and wife. I only hope I can be as strong as Dana and as supportive as Tyler in my own life.
Knowing that Dana serves in the US Army and that we took beautiful images of Rhyan in her fatigues it only make sense to create a very special image of the triplets wrapped up in their mommas uniform. Simply stunning. Thank you for your service Dana, you are amazing.
I could talk in circles but there are not many words that need to be said for the above image. It’s just so amazing to have these three sweet babies snuggling so beautifully together.
To make their newborn session streamline and able to progress I ordered a special new fur for each baby and did a similar set up for each so that they would go on the walls nicely. As a Northfield newborn photographer I always learn about clients homes and plan their sessions to work together so that artwork will always look beautiful together. Mr. Maverick definitely rocked the beige brown tone with a pose on his back, a cute little bonnet to from his sweet cheeks and of course the details. The little lips, fingers and toes are always sweet and fun to compare and look back at.
Rowyn rocked the blue for her part of the newborn session. I loved putting Huckleberrry Baby Props headband on her and using Mimosa House Fur for all the babies.
Last but very much not least is the sweet Huxley. All the blush and salmon pink for this sweet little doll. The Pink fur and wrap are from Mimosa house as well but the pink bonnet is from Joie de Knits. As a Northfield newborn photographer I have a gigantic collection of beautiful newborn photography props that is always growing.
