It is our passion to not only create amazing images of your child but also to help guide you through every step in the process. Here is some information on senior portrait sessions to help you as you start to think about your Northfield senior photography session.
When is it best to book?
The ideal time to book your seniors session is during the season prior to when you would like to hold your session, or sooner. For example if you would like a summer session we recommend contacting us in the spring or late winter. For fall sessions it is never to early to reserve your session date as autumn session availability fills quickly. This helps ensure that if you have a date that you are really hoping to reserve there is a better chance of achieving it. This also provides more time to look at alternate options if the weather doesn’t cooperate or someone in the family falls ill.

Once you reach out we will be in contact to have a chat and get to know you. From there then will meet at the Northfield portrait studio to view and enjoy all the amenities the studio has to offer including: comfortable seating, beverages, snacks and beautiful archival quality artwork only we provide. At this time we will discuss your ideas for your session, look at props, backdrops and plan your seniors session.
After our meeting at the Northfield portrait studio you will have your session fully planned and reserved for your senior! We are always here to help you finalize apparel or answer any questions that you may arise as you near your Northfield senior session date.
Session FAQ
Clothing changes are not only allowed but encouraged. There is a changing area at the studio for your senior to change outfits during his/her session. Most seniors sessions include 2-4 outfit changes but this number is flexible and up to you and your child.
Most seniors like to include a special pet, instruments, sports gear or other special mementos during their senior portrait session and we are happy to accommodate and get creative to create custom images with these special items.
Amber is a talented family photographer as well as Northfield senior portrait photographer. Many families choose to take family portraits during their seniors session to have updated images of your family as well as images with your son/daughter with each parent. It’s a very special time in your lives and you deserve special images of the two of you together.
Locations for sessions vary based on what you and your senior would like. Many families choose outdoor sessions because they are more natural and comfortable.
The session.
On the date of your senior session we ask that you to arrive ready for your session on time, with everyone portrait ready.
The session will be laid back and fun for you and your senior. This is the best way to create stunning images by taking our time and enjoying our time together.
The best part!
Shortly after your Northfield senior portrait session we will meet at the Northfield portrait studio to view your seniors beautiful images for the first time! At this time you decide what products serve your family best. You are welcome to select any combination of prints, wall art and table top products will give your senior and your family the most enjoyment.
We will take care of every little detail from start to finish and leave you with stunning artwork you will enjoy every day. We love hearing from families that every time they walk into a room they get a big smile seeing their beautiful children’s images.
